School Transport Grant

The DES determines policy relating to school transport and administers the School Transport Schemes. Bus Éireann operates the school transport services on behalf of the DES.

 

Medical Grant

Payable for pupils who cannot travel via normal school transport due to medical reasons. Application is made by the parent to the DES and verification of the medical condition may be required.
